PC/Paint

I have never used a machine polisher before and am real excited to get into it. I will be purchasing a PC soon. However, I have a question regarding paint/clear coat thickness. My black truck has 94,000 miles and the paint is in real good condition concidering the milaege. Ever since I have owned the truck it has been buffed by a local detailer 3 times. How many times can a vehicle be buffed by a PC before it starts effecting the paint/clear coat thickness? I am kind of concerned about the mileage of my truck and if using a PC would start to hurt the longevity of the paint.

Thanks.

Too many variables to be honest...............The PC is pretty gentle so you will most likely be fine, just don't get any more aggressive than you have to for swirl removal. If you are careful when you wash & dry your truck you won't need to polish it again for a long time.

A local detailer has a paint/clearcoat thickness meter. Are these accurate?

As long as it isn't one of those cheap magnetic types. Take readings in different spots on different panels, it will vary a bit.
