Has anyone found anything horribly wrong with washing pc pads in the wash with a regular detergent. I did last night and they look good im just worried i might have done something wrong cause looking around the forums it doesnt seem that many people do this?

I've given this some thought but I was concerned with the agitation of the washer. My thoughts is that it might break the foam down but then I'm not sure......I was going to try it on an older one and see how it comes out

Well they came out very clean except for my white polishing pad which i think is stained from SSR2.5 but other than that no rips nothing looks bad

The idea sounds like a good one but it's not . Most manufactures suggest hand washing while some like Meguiars don't recommend washing at all. The washer is much to rough on the pads if you get into the habbit of washing them after ever use they won't get so dirty.

I had a polishing pad that my wife put in tew washing machine by mistake. It came out fine but I started to notice the backside of the pad was coming apart. The white surface the actually sticks to the velcro part of the backing plate. I have a strong feeling that it was caused by the washing machine. I actually dont recomened it, Plus it is just so easy to just put them in a bucket with soapy water when you are done with the job. Let them soak in ther while you are picking your tools and products. Then what I is squeez them to get the excess off. Then I spray them with the hose untill all the product comes out. Been doing this for a while now with no problems at all. Plus I think the trick is not to let any product get dry on the pads. :doh
