Just wanna make sure I have the pad selection correct. This is going by CMA and Autogeek. I know there are other companies that make different pads with different colors for different applications. I do believe CMA and Autogeek both use Lake Country pads, correct me if im wrong?
Yellow(cutting) -> Most Aggressive
Orange(light cutting)
White (polishing)
Grey (finishing) -> Least Aggressive
I think I just realized this now looking at the pad selection on Autogeek. I originally ordered 2 white polishing pads and 1 yellow cutting pad from CMA. I am now wondering if the yellow pad is to aggressive for me. I plan on using SSR2.5 which is suppose to be close to DACP. Which pad would be better for the SSR2.5, orange or yellow? Or would that depend on the condition of the paint? Here are 2 different combinations I though would be good, what do you think? For my first step should I use the orange or yellow pad?
1. SSR2.5(yellow or orange)->VM(white)->S100(hand) for dark colored cars.
2. 1Z PP(yellow or orange)->WG Polish(white)->WG Sealant(hand) for lighter finishes.
If anyone has any input, comment or experiences(positve or negative) feel free to voice them. I'd like to know your thoughs because I have a couple cars lined up next week which will either make me or break me.
Thanks!!!! :xyxthumbs
