PC outdoors?

I'm new around here, obviously haven't posted, mostly reading this forum, but I'm a little more active on others. I'm planning on getting a DA and improving my skill level. I have a question though. I noticed on some member's webpages and even in ScottWax's avatar, that they seem to be polishing a car in the sun? I don't have a great garage area that is big enough to work in here, and thought that would be a big limiting factor for me. What have you found in your experiences in polishing when you have less than ideal conditions (i.e. indoor versus outdoor, shade versus partial shade versus sun?) ? Thanks for any info in advance, I truly appreciate it.

Certain products will work fine in the sun, I know Poorboys and Optimum can work in the heat/sun. Some other products dry up too fast to use it in sun light.

welcome! working in the sun is not my personal choice but it will work with the right conditions. Optimum products are great for the hot days in the sun using a PC, as long as you wipe down the panel with some quick detailer prior to polishing it you should be fine. just make sure its not a dusty area you work in :D hope it works out for you.

I usually polish outdoors. If possible find some shade. If I am doing a full/multi step polish I will move the car around as the day progresses to maintain shade on my work area. I also mist some QD and wipe the surface before I begin. Most polishes work fine outside (no different than inside) but make sure the surface is cool. If I have to move the car I will take a break while the new work section cools.

Menzerna FP2 works fine for me outside, but IP dusts a lot more than indoors with the slightest hint of sun, I suggest mixing in some FTG or RMG on the pad.
