PC on 6 = kicks butt!

I finally got a chance to polish my car yesterday. I started with SSR2.5 with cut pad. I set it at 3 to spread the product and then increased to 5. I checked the results, I was a bit disappointed. My luck with the PC hasn't been to great so far.

I thought I had nothing to lose so i deceided to polish the same area again. But this time I hit 6 by mistake. For some reason I have been always afraid of using 6! I noticed the product worked into the paint so much faster. After checking my progress again I was amazed! So this is why the PC is such a hit.

I finished the rest of the hood with SSR2.5 and then SSR1 with polish pad, again finished it on level 6. Finally put a coat of EX-P (by hand).

Wow! My black G35 never looked better! I only did this treetment on my hood and fenders. The black was so deep and swirl free.

yes I too get the best results on 6. Sometimes I would like a 7 but it'd probably vibrate right out of my hands, fall off the car and take off down the street. lol .
After running on 6 for awhile your hands feel like I've been riding a motorcycle for an hour .
Congrats on your detail and new confidence in the PC. Would love to see some pics of the G35. Its on my top 5 list of new cars ..

WEIRD, I can hardly hold mine at speed 6? I put the bigger counter weight on it. It vibrates a lot. Does anyone have that problem. Makes my hand all tinglely.

Man, maybe I should jump into the 6 bandwagon too. I always reluctant go upto 5.5. I'm give a shot this weekend(if no snow storm)

There are some products with some pads that I use speed six with great success. Sometimes those same products on a different pad at speed six create marring.
As with everything, try a small area first to make sure what you are doing is producing the results you are looking for and not creating problems that might be difficult to correct.

Poorboy, what speed do you recommend for SSR1 with polish pad? And I'm just wondering if it is possible to use SSR2.5 with polish pad. Right now I'm using Lake Country pads and the yellow cut pad is giving a little more hazing then I'd like.

btw I love your products! Especially the SSR line and EX-P. Love that you can use it in the sun!

I'd use it at 4.5-5 ...if you feel comfortable go higher when using SSR1 ...SSR2.5 works great with a polishing pad, and at a speed of 6 will leave no haze...even in the sun:) ...also try EX-P with the finishing pad at a speed of 3-4 for your first coat, then lay a second coat at either 1-2 or by hand;)

wow, took me almost a month to finally take pictures. here they are.

too bad they are in the shade.
