PC motion speed

Sometimes I think I am moving my PC back and forth and up and down to slow and other times too fast. Anyway to know the right "motion" speed that I should be using?

A commonly quoted number is one inch per second.

This is my way.



Once i have the machine level, i let the machine do the moving via its oscillating motion and I just guide it.



Works best for me so I'm sticking with it.

I agree with 1-2 inches per second. I like to go slow for about three passes, and then go to less pressure and more like six inches per second for another couple passes.
