PC failures / warranty?

I bought my 7336 back in 1993 from Woodworkers Suppy.

It had just come out and was all the rage in the woodworkers world. My PC is still going strong, over the years it has sanded many projects, I even stripped a hood down to the metal with some 60grit paper. I have not used it for about a year until I found this site. I since have ordered a new backing plate a can't wait to try it out.

I emailed PC and they said the design has not changed since the first ones rolled out.

I kind of wonder, i mean, the PC from Coastal is like $120, and the G100 is $225 according to meg's site. Is it really worth the extra $100 for a lifetime warranty? I mean, for 20 bucks more, you could have a brand new one if it breaks. I think the CT one has like a 3 year warranty anyway (not sure, ill have to check). I'm looking into getting a PC, and i honestly dont know if it's worth the extra $100 for the G100.

Well meguiars now has the g100 for a 149 for members of the megs site so now you can get it with the lifetime and some pads !!!:xyxthumbs
