PC demonstration - UK

Damn I must have been to busy PCing to notice!

Cheers for posting the Pics Paul.

Shame about the Beetle :(

It would have been good to try the Makita with the more aggressive pad/ SSR, and also to have tried it on the forced rotation mode so that we really had some basis of comparison.

I'm thinking that you aren't so far away - I'm just off J3 of the M3, so you could always drop it round and we could try again and compare the PC directly against the Makita. I don't have the Megs pads or the Poorboys, but I'm going to get the SSRs off Alex (at the moment my compounds are either aggressive or not, with nothing in the middle).

Rich - too busy leaving buffing marks more like! (joking!) That pad was evil.....

Dave - sounds good, drop me a PM or email when the SSRs are ready and we'll have a session.

Quick AG question for you both: is the Extra Gloss supposed to be "liquid" as apposed to "cream". Tony (Beetle owner) had left the bottle in the car and it had got VERY hot.

Cheers

Paul

Thats was shocking I know, I was pleased when the RMG looked good and then that well!!!

The AG EGP is like water, thats fine.

I've been giving a larger meet some thought and distance aside I'd be happy to throw a larger meet at my place - we've got power and water etc and I'm definitely looking into a canopy to put up over the driveway (shade and shelter) as several neighbours have started really pushing me to do their cars.

Space for parking is a tad tight as the guys found out at the weekend but I'm struggling to come up with a workable alternative - unless someone based in in the Midlands has sufficient space - I wouldn't want our friends from North of The Watford Gap to miss out!

I was thinking of the following - please feel free to add to this list.

1. Washing techniques

2. Hand polishing/glazing (Rich's your man here for definite!)

3. PC tecnhiques - open forum as there's a lot of people here with huge experience

4. Rotary tips - mine's sat in its case since January (as Rich, Dave & Paul will testify - it still looks brand new!) as I really had problems with marring when I tried it out.

I was thinking about this on the drive home, going to see if any one I know round here with any factory units/workshops may be able to lend us some space. Would be South Midlands, but still a big trip for the Nothern lot in afraid :(

Well I would be really interested in all of those Andy. I've just put together a shopping list from Alex that has made me wince. I need to get out into the garage and start selling some Volvo bits to raise the cash.

But there is so much more that I want (I nearly wrote need, lol) that I am now seriously interested in doing some paying work. Of course, I would prefer your driveway to a longer drive but it wouldn't be fair to monopolise you with the Southern crew :)

Looks like you all had a great time as well as having great weather! Well done!

Too far for us northerners but I was (occasionally) thinking of you whilst I was detailing the Audi.

Keep up the good work!

Looks like a good day.

If you do another I may be interested, even though it's a bit of a trek.

Let me know if you get anything sorted.

WD :xyxthumbs

I shall definately try to make the next meet.

I've just treated myself to a little prezzy! A nice new Makita 9227... I'll be sure to bring it along - anyone want a burnt clearcoat? :D

PM, you devil you! lol

Now you can offer to start detailing the other cars on the street. Great practice, and if you make a mistake, no charge. plus you showed them that it takes more than regular washing to go through the paintwork on a car like theirs.......
