PC 7424XP versus Meguiars G110v2

As you can see, personal preference plays a big part here.

I would choose the G110v2 just based off of Kevin Brown's review of the machine when it came out, although its really a hair's difference between the two.

Thanks for all the detailed information. It was great to be able to read the information on each type of polisher as well as each brand almost side by side without having to flip back and forth between multiple page.

Given the almost identical nature of the PC and Meguiars, I'll likely go with the Meguiars just because of the sale. Never hurts to save a few dollars to spend on pads and polishes!
 
I have a PC 7424. And now I have Meguiar's correction system with MF pads. I know I can change the backing plate to the Meguiar's backing plate but wouldn't it be easier to have 2 polishers so that I don't have to keep changing backing plates? I love the mf pads but know that I will still use the foam pads and I also have other products that I will still use with foam pads. What are people doing in this case? Should I just buy the Meguair's polisher to use with the mf pads and keep the PC 7424 for other products and foam pads?
 
The Meg's backing plate should work fine with other pads. In fact I like it a little better because it is easier to remove the pad from the plate in most cases. However, I would recommend double checking to make sure that the pad is situated well before turning it on.

Also if you are going to use a lot of speed/pressure with the foam it might make since to swap backing plates just to give the mount a better bite.

The more machines the better . They all have their uses . Doesnt your BF want a way to thankyou for working on his car?:D
