just asked that question myself... todd had a really technical answer and later a laymans explanation... look up" about rotation" in rotary/da polisher forum...
I think at that low speed of 3 with such a big pad, it would have to take longer to make a rotation.
But as has been already said, you dont really need/ want a lot of rotation applying Wax anyway.
Most PC's are going to rotate more/faster, when the speed is cranked up higher and with the smallest pad, like a 4".

Thanks for the replies guys. Just thought it was weird. I plan on trying the Meguairs MF system (which I want to try soon) and seeing how correction work is done around speed 4 with a good amount of pressure, it puzzles me that it struggles to spin with the gold pad at speed 3 with just the weight of the machine. But i also understand that the MF pads are much smaller and much thinner so that may be the ticket.
