Ok I was over on a Lotus forum feeding my brain and I came across this 1994 Lotus.

The member goes by the name of AzzKicker (I can see why with a Lotus and the T/A in the garage)

He said he has been using Zaino for the last 4 years and this is the original paint on this car.

Looks great!! I love that car. Just thought I would share the pic with all you Zainoholics out there.

Yea beutoful car and 264HP from a stock I4 is rather amazing as well. Especially in 1994! Seems like other manufactures are just NOW getting up to the 250 mark with their I4s.

Must be nice to have a garage full of toys like that all Zaino'ed up. I used to really like the Lotus when I was younger, but my tastes changed and realized there are even better toys out there.

:D

Better than the Lotus??? Did you start smoking? I hear that effects your taste. :D j/k man. I would love a Lotus though. If nothing else, just for eye candy. How cool would it be to drive a Lotus to work every day and have your Porsche for weekends. :D Sounds like a dream.......

Nope, never started smoking and never will! After reading magazines like DuPont Registry and others for years, I realized there are way cooler dream cars than a Lotus. Personally, Ferrari's, Lambos, etc won me over in the exotic car segment. I'd much rather drive a used Ferrari F355 or Modena over any Lotus. Nothing wrong with a Lotus per se, there's just a lot of toys that would top my list before the Lotus...:D

Where would a DeLorean place on your list? Not the best car in the world but it sure would be a nice collector car, eh?

I'm with you on the Ferrari's though. MMMMMMMMMMM..... A Lotus would be somewhere on the list for me too. Probably not the top 10 but definatly the top 50.

The DeLorean is timeless. I agree, it's more of a classic than exotic, to me anyway. It would easily place in my top 10 classic must haves. I always loved the gull wing door design, looks so futuristic even on a classic. At least you wouldn't have to do much detail work on the outside.:p

Haha yea just make sure you take along a large fire extinguisher!

I'll leave that joke to the people who know what I am talking about. If you don't know what I mean don't worry :p Heh

how in the world did you get a 1200x900, 1/2 meg pic posted to Autopia?

We're supposed to be limited to 512x512 pics. I ain't complaining, but to further geekysteve's post from last night..............:(

Oh yeah, nice car. If you're 5'6". Loti ain't cars for us big guys.

The 512 x 512 limit is only on attachments that are uploaded and hosted on the Autopia server (which costs $$$ in bandwidth for every download). Pics linked in from picture hosting sites, though, may be any resolution/size (although keeping it to 640x480 or maybe 800x600 would be a good idea so those with smaller desktop resolutions won't have to scroll to see the whole pic). The other difference is that attachments will show up as links, while offsite pics posted using the image tag will show up inline.

Hope that made sense . . . my inner-turtle isn't very coherent today :D

Tort

P.S. I'm 6'3", 280 lbs, so I tend to view any Lotus as a very expensive, working scale-model . . .

Looks nice but very angular and since it isn't your car I'll ask doesn't that look kinda like an older Celica from the back? I prefer curves for black. just my .02/100 though.

I've noticed that my PCXP has trouble spinning/rotating the pad when im apply waxes at speed 3. I marked my backing plate to see if my pad is spinning also. Is the PC really that weak even with just the weight of the machine? Btw im using a 6.5 inch gold lake country pad.

I haven't used a PC but I saw an episode of autogeeks and he put a line on the backing plate and it didn't move like I thought it would. It seemed to take 2-3 sec for it to complete a rotation.

The pad shouldn't spin freely. It should be slow. As long as you are seeing the line move around, you should be fine. Remember, it is a dual action. Not only does it spin, but it oscillates as well.

It could also be that you're using too much wax. A lot of PC 7424 users recommend using a 5 1/2 inch pad rather than the 6.5

I suspect that because those pads are so contourable and have a lot of actual foam in contact with the paint, there's plenty of cushioning to absorb machine motion, and surface area to slow rotation down.

Just as bmw5541 said, as long as you've got even a little bit of rotation for waxing duties, you're fine. Slower is better for applying waxes, I say.

Great response Barry, BTW Welcome to TID
