Prior to buying my backing plate and foam pads, I "tried" to use the standard PC pad for swirl removal with NO success. I don't think it has any cut, because it softens very easily when it gets moist. So I'm thinking it would be OK for wax/sealant. BUT..... find an old fender or hood and practice on it just to be sure!!!
