Hi,
I'm new on the site and would like to say hello, and i appreciate all the information that is provide on the site. with that being said i never realized the products that were available. most products i know about come from auto supply stores etc.

I own a dark blue buick. but under certain light the color kinda looks almost purple.i want to buy the porter cable 7424 since i have no exp with polishers.can you offer some advice, it would be greatly appreciated. i want to get a kit i can use from from start to finish. swirl remover, polish etc, an entire exterior package. i also own a 71 cutlass the car is been in the garage for a long time with a cover over on it, its also dark blue. are there any concerns i would need to know about since the car has been in storage and the paint has had no wax or a wash in over ten years. when my uncle owned the car he always would apply a coat of blue coral. Thanks Joe.

HI,
Thanks for the reply. i clicked on the link in your post my only question now is, are the pads that come with pc ok to use? or would i need to purhase a better set of pads. i ask because somewhere in one of the threads it states that you should toss the pad the comes with the pc. the thread said the pad wasn't as durable and that it would fall apart.

Once i get going on this baby i don't want to have to stop. Thanks Again

I placed my order today, i should have it by monday 9-26-05. i want to thank detail queen for taking the time to reply and putting the link in her post. Thank You
I was sure to mention detail city, again thanks for the info

Joe sorry I just saw your second question, the pads that come with the kit are manufactured by Lake Country- some of the best pads you can get..DO NOT throw out.
I think you are thinking of the one pad that comes in the PC box, that one from Porter Cable is of no real use to you. At least it is no comparison to the other pads!

i went on autogeek and i looked up the pads and did some reading :book:. alright, i'll fess up. i went back on the link that advertised the product and read the description .all i have to do know is wait for my delivery, it's x-mas in september and i can't wait. Thanks for all your help.
