Pc 333

Porter Cable UK said they (currently) have no plans to sell a 240 volt PC. The cost of the work compared to the potential market is probably not economic, they can however order a 110v PC if you want one. I cannot remember the cost but it was high, it was far cheaper to order from the USA. But for those with the money and dont want to order from the USA, this might well be an option

There is a machine from Makita that looks to be available in the UK that is a cross between a dual action polisher like the PC and a rotary buffer.

A few have tried it here and if you do a search here on Autopia you will probably find some initial impressions of it.

At the following link go to Sanders on the left menu and then on the right scroll all the way down. You are looking for the BO6040.

Looks interesting.

Lighter in weight to a PC DA.

PC - 5.75kg

Makita - 2.7kg

Looks to be more powerful as well

PC: 3.7 amps

Matika: 6.6 amps

Orbits per minutes: the same in what we typically use on the PC at levels 3 - 6

For the cost and based on reviews here (I haven't personally used on), I'd probably go for the Cyclo instead, which I believe is available in the UK.
