PB EX-P followed by Souveran without fully curing?

It could be that the Natty's made the car look good, but in fact completely wiped the EX-P off and therefore reduced the durability to 1.5 month? That's why I'm looking for long term tests. :(

It wouldn't wipe it off completely. Also If it did wipe some of it off, you wold see "splotches" all over.

That's good to know! Then I confirm it works because I already did the test:
- 2x EX-P
- 1 hour of curing
- 1x Natty's blue

I never knew if it really worked durability wise, but for sure there was no splotch.

he'll either want to come back for his "wax" fix (like and addict) or he'll be pissed that it only lasted a month ;)

Gotcha! Most people I work with have an "understanding" of the shorter term durability of carnauba, and those that don't are informed up front, so that wouldn't be a problem. Front end communication is a key element of customer service and an easy way to avert misunderstandings before they occur. ;)

Steve, have you or a customer ever tested lower curing times with EX-P in comparison with other panels? I'm surely not the first one trying to do this.

If you tell me it's completely pointless, I'll stick to only EX-P or only Souveran. On the other hand, if there's a benefit (50% efficiency? 75% efficiency?), I'll give it a try because there's nothing like the good old EX-P + 'nauba combo.

we've had feedback for years ...

it will not completely be removed, but you won't get 4-6 months, but then again I doubt this Vette is seeing much outdoor parking :hmmm:

well I can tell you that beercan's black truck was glowing with EX-P and many at the weekend were trying to achieve the look he had ...again prep was very important there too ...

I don't have any BH and it's too late to order some. :(

how far west are you?

give it a shot then worst that could happen is you'll be called back in a couple months ;)

I think people misunderstand durability and gloss ..
wax can last many months ... my red is going towards 7 months with protection but the gloss is definitely going even with S&G / QD+ touch ups

man this thread is moving too fast :lol2:

Approximately how many months? 2-3? The question is: are customers ready to lose 2 months of durability to get the instant optimal shine of EX-P + Souveran. I'm sure that over 75% of them want the shiniest car and are willing to come back 2 months earlier.

Montreal. :surrender

The reason why people use EX-P instead of KSG is instant look even if it reduces durability. I want to push this even further.

And the fact that it's a pain in the buttttttt to work with. (just try and put it on a touch heavy). As well as the fact that it hase a sterile look to it. (sorta plasticy)
