Paying Employees?

How do you guys with employees pay them?

I know there are several different ways to do this but I need clarification on them.

Flat rate, this is what I am using now to pay my employee, I pay him $10/hr. I don't know if that is the going rate or what?

Percentage, what is this and how does it work?

By the car, how do decide how this will work? I mean different cars and different costs?

Um, $10/hr. is an hourly rate. A "flat" rate would be, say, $25 for the job. A percentage would be a percentage of what you take in on the job. Hourly is the right way to pay for many reasons, IMO.

You are right, that is what I am paying per hour. Why do you think hourly is the way to go?

Hourly, this way he is always making money, and not making money during a slow season or period. Sure flat rate can yeild much more money on busy days but are busy day's always going to happen?
