Paste Wax Application

I tried paste/pc today and loved it. Took tin of #16, placed pad on top of tin and pressed the middle of the pad down and twisted slightly. Had enough wax on there to do the whole side of a Honda Odyssey... Works very well...

Boss, I like to apply #16 via PC because it gives an incredibly thin layer. As you know, with #16 a layer that is too thick can be a real bear to remove. I also find that I use less, on my car I can load the pad twice (very lightly) with a butter knife and complete application.

IMO waxes like TS or S100 are better apllied by hand.

I guess the end result is the same either way! :)

EBP,

I think you are absoultely right! In the case of any paste wax that is a bit ornery if applied to heavy.............. like #16 or Blitz, the PC can certainly be an advantage. Of course, with an F-150 SuperCrew, I would be getting the "ole butter knife" out a few more times!

The other waxes you mentioned, and products like Souveran, Natty's and others are just to easy to apply by hand. However, I am getting more and more fond of removing waxes and sealants with the PC and an MF bonnet (now trying the DFT bonnet).................... I think it adds to the look.

Of course, I'm not doing this stuff for a living anymore, so I certainly can't argue with the others who are looking for more speed, and less wear and tear at the end of the day. Although, if I had to use a PC all day long................... I'd be awful "shaky" by the end of the day! :D
