I was trying to sand down and level the paint blot that i put on the stone chips.. but i guess i sanded it down too much and now i've created 2 small (1cmx1cm) flat spots on the hood. it's only the clear coat..

how do i get rid of these ? i'm afraid of sanding it too much again.

HELP !

You need to follow the procedure up with a clearcoat safe Rubbing Compound followed by a Swirl Remover. You can search the CMA site for the products you need. It is normal to have dulled the spots you wet sanded, it may take 3 to 4 applications of each product to clear up the situation. Sanding is tricky business I hope you did not go through the clear!Good luck.

So today while sitting in my pops jetta watching his dog Domi so she wouldnt do any thing to the upholstery.

I had the windows down and had my music (a german band) on low. A women walked out with her 3 (i think) year old daughter and grabbed her by the back of her shirt like a duffle bag, and proceeded to throw her into her jeep. yelled at the guy loading her car for some random reason. Glared at me, i than rolled up the windows and watched (couldn't see me because of tint). She got in her Jeep and Grabbed a Absolute vodka:cursing: bottle from her canter console and began drinking it while driving away:doh:.

I got the model make and color of the car but not the whole plate. I hate people who drink and drive especially with kids.

Just saw a lady get pulled over. Glass full of vodka with child in car. She got a DUI and the police drove her car away with the child in it. Another cop drove her to the station.
Disgusting especially with children.

Reminds me of something I saw a few years ago.

While in college, I worked for a time in a liquor store on the outskirts of Gainesville, FL. If anyone has spent any time in Central Florida, you know that the further from town you get, the more "Deep South" Florida becomes. We had several customers that would come in early in the morning for a quick fix of something cheap to start their day.

One woman in particular stood out. She looked like a well-dressed, professional woman and drove a fairly nice car. She would come in, buy a half-pint of store-brand 100 proof vodka, then get in her car and do a slow cruise from one side of the parking lot, around the back of our building, and come out the other side. I never really paid it much mind until I asked a co-worker what she was doing.

Apparently, she used to come in, make her purchase, then proceed to the ladies room to drink it all before leaving. A female co-worker caught her once and told her she couldn't drink on premises, so I guess her solution was to drink it in the car before leaving our parking lot!

It's pretty said the hold alcohol has on some people. Luckily, I've never had to deal with it firsthand, but I've had friends and extended family that border on full-blown alcoholism and it's scary and frustrating to watch.

This was in a small town called dryden out side of ithaca NY where cornell is

I don't know about the lady but Dryden is a nice little town, I like it there. I see it about 4 time a year when we go to visit our daughter in Freeville. Beautiful area.

no, I dont think our idiot police force would belive a teenager calling in about a drunk person. Ive called in about thefts before....didnt believe me.

Next time call anyway. They might not take petty shoplifting very serious, but an adult driving around drunk with a child I'm sure they will Da Rules!

BTW, what are you doing posting @ 9:30am on a Monday? Isn't there somewhere your suppose to be right now :sarge
