PakShak UltraPlush Plus Microfiber Review

SilverLexus

Super Enthusiast
Received my package of toys from Hawaii today and I decided to try the new UltraPlush Plus (now say that 4 times really fast :) ) towel. Here's what I found...

Looks: A+, Beautiful blue with dark blue edging. 16" by 16"

Performance: A+, Super soft - great for final buffing, concours detailing, interior work, anything where fine fibers are required. You can also use for lesser tasks but that would be disrespectful. :D

Price: B+, Very reasonable at $4.50 with Autopia discount. This is a premium product so the price looks even better.

Customer Service: A+, it's Ranney and Rinney after all. Fast delivery considering shipment from Hawaii. Took 5 days to reach my house in the Atlanta area.

As hard as it would seem to be, PakShak has outdone themselves. This is the new king in my buffing collection. :up

Next up is the new glass waffle weave which seems softer than my Cobra WW glass towel and has nice dark blue edging as well.

Lets see, I opened this thread with one hand and had the credit card ready to go in the other hand. I've got serious problems...

Have you ever been told you have a microfiber obsession? :)

grt1,

This is a dangerous hobby for the wallet. Self control is very difficult and I think I know how drug addicts, alcoholics, and smokers trying to quit feel when they cannot get their "fix." I find myself becoming moody when I cannot do something detail related. Maybe we could get a group rate for counseling?

What me? any obsession?

I don't understand...I only have 200. What happens if the factories in Korea are overtaken by the Chinese army? :D

200?! Has every towel been used at least once? LOL

How are PakShak's waffle weave drying towels? I'm thinking of buying two more waffle weaves in the coming weeks (have other fun things to buy first).

I used my ultrafines ,which I purchased from Ranney, this morning removing Souveran from my black BMW. I love the feel of those microfibers. I feel consoled by the fact that "THERE IS NO CURE!"

It really is like an addiction, I agree with you totally. I'm starting to feel like I'm in Las Vegas and I have to put a cap on how much money I can bet. Might have to start downsizing that credit card limit... I don't think I can stop though, tomorrow will be another new product ;)

Have you used the blue ones from Sams Club before? I just got some and they are very nice. I've seen, not used, towels from Pakshak and while they are nice, I didn't notice a large quality difference from the new ones at Sams. And at $0.50 each....I can't bring myself to spend almost ten times that for some slightly better towels.

I'd really like to see a comparison of the two.

It is an addiction. I went through a microfiber phase a while back. I have over 300 now and half of them haven't even been used yet! Looks like I've got some more towels to try!

I emailed Ranney about the towel he recommends for QD and the Ultraplush and Ultraplush Plus were what he suggested so I plan on ordering four or five as soon as my wife turns her head ( j/k about my wife, lol ). Glad to hear the good report, I can't wait to get them now.

"I have one of these really plush ones (yellow). I really really like it. It's my LSP towel."

Corey, if it's a yellow ultrafine then we think alike. I also use it as a LPS towel.

Greetings detailers: its been a long & cold winter here in rochester, ny. spring is here and i'm ready to start buyin'.one if the most important items i can't live without are mf towels. i was gonna buy some blue ones @ sam' club @50 cets each, but hesitated. and its a good thing i did!!!!!!!!!!!!if you go to www.bettercarcare.com-under microfiber: myths, truths and technology- youll get a better understandig of mf towels concerning price and quality. all said, remember the old latin saying: empty caviar. translated; buyer beware.

The Pakshak WW's are great. A must have for drying :up

I just got some of the Ultra Plush Plus and the Glass Cleaning towels as well. The glass cleaning towel is awesome. I will try and post a review this weekend.
