Hi guys, how’s it going? Sorry in advance for the newb question, but it’s time to replace *all* my microfiber towels. I’m having a hard time deciding how many of each Pakshak mf's to order? I have a tendency to over order things :o but hate when I don’t have something to do the job properly. I have two dark car to detail and maintain. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Lucas..

A list of all Micropak’s towels:

Ultra-Smooth Micro Fiber Towel - "The Ultimate All Purpose Towel"

Ultra-Plush Micro Fiber Towel - "The Ultimate Quick Detail Towel"

Ultra-Fine Micro Fiber Towel - "The Final Buffing Towel

Waffle Weave Micro Fiber Glass Towel

16" x 24" Waffle Weave Drying towel

25" x 36" Waffle Weave Drying towel

16" x 27" Ultra-Soft Waffle Weave Micro Fiber Towel

25" x 36" Ultra-Soft Waffle Weave Micro Fiber Towel

IMHO, Pakshak's quality and customer service is top notch!! With that said I have 6 - Ultra-Plush Micro Fiber Towel that use for only QD & buffing. And I have 2-25" x 36" Waffle Weave Drying towels. As far as OTHER towels for dirty jobs I buy cheaper towels. Just my 2cents. I would really like an assortment of the Ultra-Smooth Micro Fiber Towel's in different colors.... but I already have plentyof this level of towel. You cant go wrong with ANY of these towels. As far as how many??? Depends on how often you want to do laundry.

Ranney is a member here and I do believe you will be find and others will agree that he is trust worthy. I am sure others will give you their suggestions, what is one more from the vendor going to hurt?

I have an extensive collection of Pakshak towels and find the ones I use most frequently are the waffle weave microfibers for drying and the ultra-plush towels for quick detailing. I also use the smaller waffle weave towels for glass. As for quantity, it generally takes 2 of the large waffle weave towels to dry my Mustang. I generally like a lot of extra towels so I don't have to wash them as frequently.

Just keep in mind what you are going to be doing and how often you want to wash them.

Long distance calling is expensive, plus I trust you guys more then a vendor.

BTW, thanks LynchMOB

I've spoken to Ranny and he is a very honest man. I had problems trying to remove swirls on my paint so I asked his advice, told him what products I had to give him an idea. He didn't try and sell me a different swirl remover or pads instead he asked me questions about my process (product, pads, and speed being used) and gave me his opinion on what maybe the problem. He wasn't being a salesman but a detail enthusiast helping a rookie get better. I have his Ultra Micro Fiber Towel and they can be use for removing polish, waxes, and sealants. I also have his WW towel 25x36 and its soft and a pretty thick towel to boot.

He was very helpful when I purchased mine but here is what I suggest.

2 of is largest WW towels cause sometimes it takes 2 for larger vehichles. And get the ultra plush for buffing. I dont know if hes still selling them but his old towels for 2.25 a piece make great AP towels for interior and other non paint cleaning.

I can also vouche for Ranney as well. I've ordered from him multiple times and each time has met up with me so that I can save on shipping. He has also responded to extensive emails from me answering a TON of my newb questions. Like mentioned above, not a salesperson response on products that he carries, but more like a fellow enthusiast detailer that genuinely wants you to be happy and enjoy your car.

As for the MF towels, I have the Ultras, a lot of Ultra-Smooths, the Ultra-Plushes, the Ultra-Fines and the 16x16 WW Glass towels. I also have tired the MF applicators and in my next order will be picking up the larger WW drying towels. Excellent quality products and even better service. Can't recommend him enough.

Thanks guys, I've only heard good things about Panshak and Ranney, this just reconfirms it. I’ve also being thinking of getting half Panshak, half Sonus towels…
