pakshak 'glass' waffle weaves?

Hi firebird,

I myself had the same question. I contacted Ranney about this and he said that the "glass" waffle weaves are the same as the large towels as far as feel. But the "glass" towels have a silk:D border on them. He said that they couldn't find anything to beat WW on glass. By the way, the towels are a great price with the Autopia discount, contact Ranny@pakshak.com and ask him about Autopia prices!

Hope this helps,

Kyle

The micro fiber waffle weave Glass Towel that Pakshak is now selling is amazing. Its like a small waffle weave drying towel that is about 16 x 16 with a nice border on it. I borrowed it from another Z club member who recently purchased some and its an awesome product.

I used it with the new NXT glass cleaner and this could be my new "go to" glass cleaning combo.

I was going to do a complete review once I picked some up from Ranney myself.

so whats a silk border do? would it be just as good for drying the car after a wash? thats mainly what i need em for.

i dont care about price as long as i get the best one, because it was just detailed and i dont want to harm it. but if they are the exact same mf towel, i can get 2 smaller ones cheaper than one large one.

If you are going to use them for drying I would ge the big ones. They are excellent for drying a car and they soak up a ton of water. The silk border is just for a little bit more protection for the glass and paint if you so choose. Honestly, just get the big ones and you will be very happy, they are top notch!!:D

sure its worth it ? i can get Five (5) - 16'' x 16'' Waffle Weave Micro Fiber Glass Towels for less than Two (2) - 25'' x 36'' Waffle Weave Micro Fiber Towels

Any quality waffle weave is great on glass. The only thing about those glass waffle weaves that are different from the others is the size. The smaller size is easier to handle on the windows.

I would like to see Ranney get the nice silk border on the large drying WW that is on the glass WW.

Well, for the small towels 16 x 16 x 5 = 1280 sq inches

and the large towels are 25 x 36 x 2 = 1800 sq inches

So the 2 large towels have 40% more area than the 5 small ones.

Anybody willing to tell what the Autopian price is for these 16x16" WW's?

Let's just say you can get 138 16x16 "glass" WW towels for $828. :p

**Ranney if you see this, just PM and I will remove the price for you**

Not with the Autopia discount. If you have to compromise, get the 16x24 WW glass towels. They are a little more than the 16x16, and a little less than the 25x36.

Check out this pic, it may help you deside. The bottom one is the 25x36, then the 16x24, then the 16x16!

I don't see why this should be a secret, it's not like your posting it on a website other than Autopia...if the discount is for Autopians, why not let it be known to Autopians? Is it a secret, Ranney?

Hi Setec Astronomy...

Here is the warning banner on top of the page here on Autopia.org.

"WARNING: Use of Autopia.org (any of its facilities) to conduct any and all forms of unauthorized commercial business are prohibited. There will be no warnings for violators. Violators will be banned without exception."

We are not a paid advertiser or sponsor of Autopia.org so for us posting prices on Autopia.org will violate Autopia's forum policy.

We respect what DavidB has done with Autopia.org and we will adhere to his forum policies. Thank you for understanding.

If you have any questions, please email or call us.

Thank you & Aloha,

Ranney :)

Sorry, does that mean that a member can't post your discount amount for the information of other members? It seemed that 04Cobra was concerned about upsetting you, not DavidB.

Nothing to be sorry about. I believe as long as an Autopia member is not affilated with a company/vendor in respect to being an employee or respresentative. He/She can post prices of products from different vendors.

So it is okay with us as long as it is okay with DavidB.

With Aloha,

Ranney :)

I was just trying to be funny about it really. I've only seen Ranney's prices posted once and I didn't want to step on anyone's toes. I didn't want to bother db or Ranney with my post. Also, I don't like posting other people's prices really, because things can change in a heart beat. So I left it wide open, and the people that wanted to know the price can do the math and figure it out without me telling.:D I guess the reason I was careful is because Ranney does such a good job of being a fellow Autopian, and not a vendor around here. He has a good mix of knowledge of products. Almost every post that has a product that another vendor carries as well as he does, he tells people that there are other vendors with the same product, he never says go to his website, he offers other alternatives first. And I think that is admirable, but then again he is in HI, so no matter his financial situation, he has it made!:xyxthumbs

So in the end, I was just trying to be funny, clearly I'm not!:nono
