These towels look really nice. Has anyone used these? is the nap the same on both sides?

I have the Sonus der Wonder buffing towel and looks very similar. The sonus has a super plush side and a finer side, which I like. 2 towels in one!:D

Call me crazy, but I like Pak and perfer the color blue!:p

I just placed an order for 4 of them this Wed. I can let you know when they come in, or you could just email Ranney. He is very helpful and quick to respond.

are these the light blue ones with a dark blue silk trim? i love them! the nap is different on each side, a nice super plush side, and a finer side. ranney told me they are good for quick detailing, which is why i bought a few. and just today i used them for QDing. the plush side for the initial wipe, the finer side for the final wipe. i think it works great that way. :xyxthumbs

Thats what i was looking for. I like silk edgeing alot.

So, Hows the Quality?

Do you think the finer side would work well for removeing polishes and sealants?

the quality seems good. although i just had them for about a week or so. and yeah, the finer side will probably be good in removing wax and polishes.

:up :up for these towels. Quality is top-notch and definitely noticeable when compared to Wal-Mart MF's. As Hirosh noted, one side is extremely plush while the other side is fine nap. Assigning a towel for each detail task is kind of subjective, I use the plush side to remove LSP's and QD'ing, while I like the short nap side for final wipedown.

Keep on waxin!:xyxthumbs

also look for the blue viking mf drying towel, as it is different on both sides (one plush/other fine) as well and is just as nice as the pakshaks or even better. here's a review from this site....

From the Autopia Car Care Website:

Super Soft Drying and Quick Detailing Towel

When I first got the Viking Microfiber Drying Towel in for testing I didn't have high hopes. At only 16? by 24?, it does not have anywhere near the capacity of our Ultimate Drying Towel. As it turns out, the modest size is the real beauty of this towel. You use it like a chamois?

simply wipe-wring-wipe. This toweling material has the wonderful ability to be wrung out tight and continue drying spot-free.

Quite by accident I also discovered this is a great quick detailing towel. When used with your favorite quick detailing spray, this towel will safely detail your entire car. The Viking Microfiber Drying Towel is actually two toweling materials in one. On one side you?ll find a thick, plush terry weave that?s so important for wiping away light dust and dirt without scratching. On the flip side you?ll find a tight terry weave that creates the final, streak-free finish. What a quick detailing great solution!

Concerned about scratches from the edging? No worries with this microfiber towel. The Viking Microfiber Drying Towel has a stitched binding that?s 100% clear coat safe.

One 16? by 24? towel per package. Made in Korea. Read instructions before use.

:up

I have several and I think they are the best plush towel out there. Great construction and design + amazing performance. Another home run from the PakShak crew. :xyxthumbs

Can one mix the Viking and the mentioned Pakshak (of the same color) together in a bag and not tell difference or do they feel and perform the same but are still visibly different?

well, i got both the pakshak one and the viking one, and my pakshak one is new (about a couple weeks old) while my viking one i had about a year now. so maybe that is why i can feel a difference.

I would like to see a comparison VS the Sonus Buffing towel. I currently use the Sonus and want to know how they stack up. :)

I just put an order in with Ranney for a variety of his MF towels. A pleasure to do business with the people at PakShak. Can't wait to try them out.
