PaintScratch.com = any good?

Hello everyone! I found www.paintscratch.com and was wondering if it was any good? I need to get some paint for about 4 cars to do touchups. So plain and simple I am wondering if the paint is accurate?

Thanks

Greg

It is only as good as the code you give them. If you give them the paint code for a faded 1990 Honda then the paint they give you will likely not match the car. They will give you paint that is the same color that the car should be. If you need an actual color match for the color the car is currently, then you should take it to a paint shop and have them mix it up for you.

I know a lot of people who are very happy with the paint match they got from that site. I'll be shopping there myself when I decide on my next painting project. The nice thing is that you can get your paint color in a spray can for easier painting of things like engine pieces, caps, strut bars, grilles, interior pieces, etc. Gotta love that.

That's the price you pay for a color match. Ever get a paint quote from a body shop? Go ahead and ask how much they would charge for a pint of paint. It is not cheaper than PaintScratch.com. Paint is expensive.

I've purchased both paint and clearcoat from them, 2 pens, 2 little bottles, and they were professional to deal with.
The color was a perfect match (BMW #405, the Imola Red) and I didn't worry about the price. If you need the paint and want it perfect, the 9 bucks or 6 bucks didn't seem too outrageous.
Would I buy from them again? Sure, without question.

Good deal, and with my price is no big deal, when I do a touch up job I want it to be the best it can be. The reason I found the site was that I was looking for paint for a 79 corvette (red). Found it!

Thanks Guys

I did a VIN exact paint order from Chev today. They gave me the factory pen. It didn't match--was lighter. In certain lights it's okay.

You just never know.

When I need it, I can get a 500g can of Pro something or other, a European system, for $30 CAD. It can go by code, or they can take a picture with 56,000 colours.

$30 is a lot, but for certain customers, it's worth it.
