Paintless Dent Removal training

Has anyone taken a 1 or 2 week PDR class? I'm looking for feedback on those classes, as I'm debating taking one in the spring (yeah, I know, spring's a long way off, but hey, I like to be prepared!)

Thanks,

DavidM

I'd probably agree with that -- to an extent -- but how easy is it going to be to find someone in the field to train you? Wouldn't they be concerned that you represent 'competition' to them?

I'm actually surprised more of the vocational schools don't do that type of training. I grew up near one (Pinellas Vo-Tech) that had a great body shop program, but that was back in the days before PDR was as mainstream as it is now.

The only way someone will train you, is if you are not in direct competition with them.

You need to travel and pay for a hotel, just like you would at a school.

there are plenty of guys out of your area that will do it for the extra cash.

I actually looked into this not long ago, but some of the local shops offer courses. However, they charge several grand for the "course" (which i cannot afford). It'd be nice to know how though.

I took a class in St. Louis conducted by Dent Wizard. Very expensive but you did get a basic set of tools. I think now if you sign up for Dent Wizard courses, you now have to commit as a field rep for them?

Definitely was worth it over the long run, you can make a killing with hail damage. One storm last spring I made over $9,000 in a weekend!
