They sell one on an infomercial I just saw for $30. Looks pretty much the same to me.

I have a dent on my hood which the PDR guy couldn't remove. There is a support member directly underneath the dent. I thought this might work.

Wonder if the PDR guys know about these. Would rather have someone else screw up my hood than me.

I wouldn't consider using anything sold on an infomercial. I doubt the quality at $30 is going to be any good. The dingking's system seems to be a much higher quality for $299 and the equipment looks to be pretty substantial. I talked to a couple of PDR guys and they use it on dents they cannot get behind-much like yours seems to be. They say it works very well, but 99 times out of 100, they can get dings out faster with the conventional method.

They also sell conventional PDR tools and windshield repair kits.

I am looking into them as add on services to my mobile detailing-should tide me over until I can come up with an extra $4000 to take the regular PDR training.

I would leave the PDR to the professionals. I have had some really good experiences with having it done.

I saw something similar to this in the most recent Eastwood catalog. It looks like the Eastwood kit consists of rods which are glued to the paint & then pulled to pull the dent back out. The kit also includes a release agent to remove the rod when you're done, which supposedly doesn't harm the paint. They carry two versions, a professional and a home kit.

Does anyone have any experience with these?
