Painting my bumpers??

Hey guys, I've got a 92 BMW 325i. It's a gorgeous black car, but it has a problem. BMW decided to make these cars with grey bumpers and side skirts. They stick out like a sore thumb, I'm sure you've all seen them. I've decided that it is something that I would like to fix, but have no idea what kind of paint I would need or how to make it shiny to match the rest of the paint. Any advice or suggestions would be great. Thanks. I would post some pictures of it, but my digital camera is being unsocial.

I’ve seen this done on side skirts before. If the bumpers are plastic and textured then they will need to be sanded down and primed before you have them painted. Its possible to make it look very nice and professional. It just depends on what the parts are made of. Are they already painted or are they just molded plastic?

If you want them the original color to match the car, seek a professional. If you want them black again, Go to a autobody store, and get a ready to spray rubber trim paint. SEM makes a good product.

They are plastic, but they were definately painted grey by the factory. Since the car is already black, I'm hoping I can save some money by doing it myself.
