Painters' Truck Befores and Afters~56K Caution

Incredible detail. I wish I could have been around when the owner of that truck saw what you had accomplished. Where can one buy these Spraywasy Wipes? I need to get my hands on the Folex as well. I also agree that you should enter this in the Extreme Detail contest. If ever there was an extreme detail, this is it. Absolutely superb results....Congratulations!

wow that looks really good :xyxthumbs . That's a huge difference. Those wipes must be some strong stuff too

Hey thanks alot guys! Joshua, klnyc, cuekaje, mtwedt, twister...I really appreciate the latest posts! It was pretty extreme and I definately failed to charge enough, but I learned about a couple of great products so I am pleased.

Mtwedt, the Sprayaway Wipes are at Top of the Line.com and Folex is at Lowes.

Twister, the wipes are REALLY strong and must be used with caution. Just let the cleaner on the wipes do the work...do not "scrub" into the paint. Also, I only let the cleaner sit on the spots for a minute, then wiped with a wet microfiber to aid in removing the dry paint. This also diluted the cleaner as I did not want the stuff on there long. Some cases needed two applications, but that did it.

I really appreciate the Extreme Contest suggestion. I think if I had gotten better photos I would consider it. Thanks again to all who posted...

Forgot to mention earlier, Advance Auto now carries Industrial Wipes which are supposed to take care of the same things Sprayaway Wipes does, but for much less. I did not find them before I ordered from TOTL. I cannot compare the two as I have only used Sprayaway...

Holy smokes!

I would have turned it down.

Either that or priced it really high so if I did end up with the job, I would be well compensated.

Really quality work, that is as nasty a vehicle as I have ever seen. The interior cleaning is as impressive as the exterior work. :)

:bow :bow W...........O...........W :bow :bow

That is simply amazing and most likely I would have turned down such an extreme challange :grinno:

Hey guys! Thanks for the continuing replies...As far as what I charged, it was not enough, but I knew that going in. The bigger issue for me, as far as what to charge, is that after seeing the truck in person, I could have doubled my fee and still not come out to the good...LOL! The big picture of that weekend was not just going to Charleston to detail trucks, but also to spend some time in a "guys night out" situation with my buds. It was nice to spend a little time away from my wife and daughter...to recharge my batteries so to speak. So we had the stereo cranked in his house while detailing, the weather was great, and in the evening we went to Wild Wings and got crazy on some chow and brew! Work hard-play harder...that is my motto.

Thecarguy, Sprayaway industrial wipes are from Top of the Line.com, but Advance Auto has something comparable if you want to try those first. I have not used the Advance wipes yet. I would not do it again for the price he got but the weekend was great overall!
