Painted Wheels???

Hi,

I just bought a new car and I'm unsure of exactly what type of wheels are it. They have a carbon fiber type color, and I have a feeling they may be painted wheels but I really don't know for sure. The car is an 07 Acura TL Type S, with the standard 17 inch wheels.

I have also attached a picture if that helps any.

Basically, I'm looking for the best method of keeping the wheels clean. Can you use a metal polish still, etc....

they look painted...polish and wax just like the paint on your car, use the same steps and products on them as you do your car paint.

Any harm in using a Motherball (a new one without product on it) to apply the polishes/waxes?

I can see getting a PC in there being not as friendly as using a motherball.

I wouldn't use ANYTHING powered by a drill to apply wax. I've been washing similar wheels and applying a cleaner wax followed by a sealant (Meguiar's cleaner wax & Nxt High Tech wax or #21 from their professional line) by hand for years.

Despite Chip Fooses's commercials, I doubt a powerball or any power tool can get into all those nooks and crannies of your wheels anyway.
