What are you guys using for your favorite applicator ? I have been using the free Zaino pads but after a while they start self destructing :surrenderYesterday, I used the small yellow foam one , I think it came with BFWD...but not positive...so much stuff in my cabinet....I know sum of ya like to apply it with a polisher.....I havent quite started doing that yet !
That little yellow one is TOO SMALL ! :)

Well, I use the yellow foam applicators if I do it by hand. You might want to look into the Autoglym hand-sized/molded applicators available at Wal-Mart.

Ok , 9 of ya's have read this...no one answers......just put it on with a sponge....:lmfao...I was hoping for a genious new way ! :D

Been there, done that, didn't like it, JP.

I tried one of the Autoglym hand-molded applicators to apply EX-P to three daily driver details recently. One of them was a burgundy Escalade, belonging to a regular show-car customer of mine.

Short story long, I went to a labor day car show to see one of my masterpieces... done in my best caunauba. I happened to look at the guy's DD Escalade and was appalled to see the EX-P streaked on the red paint!

I backtracked and found the same streaking on the two other DD's done with the Autoglym applicator. The fancy applicator is like a dream come true when you're flying through the sealant application, but it applies much too thickly.

I'm sticking with the small foam applicator... never had a problem with EX-P before. FWIW.

Yeah , thats the whole problem....gota be thin thin thin....and not to absorbinent into the applicator ,plus softer than a babies ass.

I've also had decent luck with a rectangular microfiber applicator. I believe it was an Adam's, but I can't be 100% sure. I know for a fact I use more product when using a microfiber applicator, so that is why I prefer a foam.

Yeah , the sealant ,or a good portion sinks into the pad....a good friend told me he spritzes a two er three feet area with a spray like Z6 or your favorite detail spray and adds several drops of sealant to the paint and applies it that way....but its still not very efficient.

I use two types: a 4-in foam polishing pad (cyclo white pad) with a polishing pal handle or a red thick 2-in round foam applicator that I got from Detailer's Domain. They are much easier for me than those yellow applicators.

I do not like microfiber applicators.

I use the round microfiber applicator that has a pocket for inserting your fingers into so it doesn't fall to the ground so easily. I get them at Harbor Freight Tools. If I am applying EX-P I will soak the applicator in water first then gently squeeze the excess water from it before applying the sealant. I use it dry to apply waxes.

Polishing pal handle....? I have the cyclo polisher and all kinds of pads..

I use the yellow foam applicators if I am applying by hand, don't like the MF applicators much. Put I find myself using the PC more and more especially when I'm doing multiple cars.

I've never really liked the terry applicators for anything except pure polishes like Meg's #7. I use the yellow foam hand pads for sealants and waxes.

You can get the polishin pal from AG and a few other places but it fits the 4-in pads perfectly. The white cyclo pad is very soft. I also use it for using paint (pre-wax) cleaners by hand. I have also used other pads as well.

I like that idea....nice even light pressure...and , like the dude just said , you can wet the pad first and dry it , then it could more evenly distribute the sealant...I will have to hunt up one of those gizmos....thanks ! :)

I was in a rush earlier today (up in Tappahannock, VA) so rushed for time.

Here is the link. They also sell combo's (pads, etc)
Wolfgang Polishin’ Pal

It fits the hand nicely.

The Polishin pal also works with microfiber and terry cloth applications as a gripper as well. It is not as secure but fine on glass for extra scrubbing action. You can really apply a lot of pressure evenly.
