Paint Repaired / Any Waxing?

I just had the right rear section of my new silver 330ci repainted under warranty for a factory defect (came out absolutely perfect btw).

The manager at the body shop said to wait 30 days before waxing, but he specifically mentioned sealant type treatments like klasse.

After washing, can I use a carnauba based quick detailer like pinnacle crystal mist to give it some shine? Or, do I simply have to wait the 30 days before applying anything?

Thanks!

I like to wait 90 days after a new paint job for anything with carnauba. IMO, polishing is ok, but for now I'd just stick to washing.

If you want to put something on it, try Mothers Sealer and Glaze or Megs #80 Speed Glaze (With Breathable Paint Protectant!!). Not sure how long #80 lasts without a topper, but I've been told by Mothers that their S&G might last up to a week by itself (under mild conditions).
You are supposed to wait for the paint to cure, and if you apply a wax before it's done curing, there can be adverse repercussions to the paint.
A month isn't so long to wait, really.

My dad got a partial repaint on the roof of his Mustang a while back. Body shop said nothing about waiting. I think he waited around 2.5 weeks then rewaxed. It's been about 1.5 months since and there are no problems yet. (plz dont let there be any :P)

Does this go for brand new cars too? Is the paint cured enough that if you bought a car that just got to the lot and detailed it that day that it would be ok?

I would check the date on the inside of the door to see when the car was manufactured. It might have been made months before it arrived on the lot and sold. :headbang
