Paint on Dash..Help!!

Oh thats going to be fun. Is the paint latex or oil based?

I'd try picking at it first with a plastic razor blade or your finger nail. Chances are you'll be able to peel it off in pieces. I'm not sure if i'd try using anything strong.. If its strong enough to remove house paint its going to take the dye off as well.
 
it's water based satin finish paint. I would have cleaned it right away had I seen it but I didn't realize it till about three days later. I figured Goo-Gone would be too strong and discolor the dash
 
try vegetable oil..I use it to clean the stain on my hands..let it set in for a few..and then wipe off..and clean oil residue with some APC diluted...careful to not get APC on clear plastic parts..it will sometimes permanently fog them...

have to be careful with chemicals on vinyl dashes...some times they are painted and not pigmented ..and you can wipe paint off or dye as its called...
