Paint Correction on a tractor!! Need some help!

So one of my main customers has this small little New Holland tractor I believe it is a 55-60 Horse (I'll post a link to a similar model). He wants to sell it and wants me to remove all the scratches and fully "detail" it. I have never buffed anything like this and am a little nervous. Of course the main sections needing buffed are the engine cover (which is of course plastic) and the rear wheel wells (plastic i think )

Anyways, so I use a Dewalt 849 Variable Speed polisher with the 3M 3 step process. I'm hoping "Brandon1" chimes in here, In searching I noticed he had a few posts about detailing farm equipment.

So what do i need to be weary of? Probably keepin it at a low speed to not melt the plastic? Any other suggestions? How long will a little tractor like this take, I was thinking just a few hours (3-4)? And how much would you charge ($200)?

It also has a bucket, I assume its "automotive paint" and is normally buffable?

Thanks for any Advice in advance, Adrian

Most hoods and fenders of tractors are some sort of plastic or acrylic. It corrects a little easier than car paint (most of them). Make sure the tractor is clean with no dirty residue leaking out of crevices, and just start slow. Holograming has never been much of a problem. Just take it easy, start light, and dont stay in one area too long. Also, even though it has a bucket, dont buff it. It is paint, yes, but there is so much dirt on the bucket surface, you will likely never remove it all

Should not take more than 3-4hrs and I usually charge $200 or so. Please be sure to post pics!
