Paint Color Advice

Hey guys, I'm thinking about getting a new 2010/2011 Camaro, I'm looking for a little color help. I want to get a color that will pop and last when taking care of, I'm not a great master of a polisher, but I can hold my own. I have kept my Oxford White Mustang in great condition.

I don't want another White car and Black is too much for me to handle. The choices are:

- Aqua Blue Metallic

- Imperial Blue Metallic

- Inferno Orange Metallic

- Red Jewel Tint

- Victory Red

- Cyber Gray Metallic

- Rally Yellow

- Silver Ice Metallic

I'm thinking that a Metallic color will be easier to keep looking great. Any thoughts would be a great help.

Imperial Blue Metallic is whats on my car and I love it. Its a very deep blue and with a good nuba it looks like the paint is melting off.

I find dark blues to be at least as challenging as black, and I'd be a little leery of a tint-coat color.

And a yellow Camaro just says something I wouldn't want *my* vehicle to say (but that's just me).

I'd go with the silver or gray.

I find that other metallics can be tricky if only because it's hard to inspect for marring, but that same "I can't see it!" marring shows up after you think the car looks perfect in the shop. Silver and gray can be the same way, but overall it's pretty easy to keep those colors looking great for a long, long time.

Inferno Orange Metallic! :drool::drool::drool:

If I were to get one it would be the IOM with the RS package! :bigups

At the end of the day I'm sure the same CC is used on all of the colors so they should all marr and scratch equally. The lighter metallics will appear to look good the longest IMO.

RaskyR1- Heh heh, I'd be fanatical about keeping that Inferno Orange nice :D

Really this blue is much easier to take care of then black.

Well, that one isn't all that *dark* a blue IMO...the blue of my '93 beater-Audi isn't bad either (thank goodness). Some dark blues have driven me nuts.

i would go with inferno orange definitly. it will turn head anywhere you go and it is easy to keap clean. also it stays cooler than a dark car in the summer.

The grey should be dark enough to show decent depth (I have a grey lustre metallic Maxima) and not so dark that even when it is dirty it doesn't look too bad.

Imperial Blue Metallic! Its not quite black, but almost... and man, dark blue looks soooo good when clean! Its more work, but the payoff is better. Silver/Gray never looks that good, white looks better IMO.

I like the look of Inferno Orange Metallic, but my wife's car is Orange Metallic, I don't want 2 orange cars in my driveway.

I have a Camaro with Cyber Gray Metallic. The color has silver and blue flecks in it. It has many different hues depending on the light. Have tried S100 and DG 111 and DG is the better, it lets the metallic flecks shine through. The S100 wax made the paint look like battleship gray. My favorite color on the car is Victory Red. Would have got this color if my age were not so close to 60. Didn't want the car to scream "mid-life crisis".
