Paint cleaners

Another thing,
when to use them , before waxing i know that, but what about before or right after claying.

and can paint cleaners be used on glass, and if not what type of polish can.
ive looked at all types of cleaners. and i dont see the point of them if they dont have any abbrasivness. why not just compond the care the use a swirl mark remover then glaze to selant to wax.

I SO CONFUSED , PLUS THE THE WORD CLEANER AND POLISH AND SWIRL REMOVER HAVE ALL BEEN PUT INTO SAME CATAGORY

Cleaners/polishes/swirl removers should all be used right AFTER clay. In general (but not always) cleaners have chemicals instead of abrasives, as they tend not to do anything to scratches but instead to "clean" the paint of stubborn embedded dirt, haze, rust and other such things--an excellent example is Poorboy's Professional Polish (it's a cleaner, despite the name). Swirl Removers and Polishes are similar in that they (usually) both have abrasives to remove scratches. Both vary greatly in thier abrasiveness, although typically (again, not always) polishes are milder than Swirl Removers. Most abrasive of them all is compounds.

Hope this helps--if I'm wrong someone else please correct me...

Thank you very much,
couple more things when your using a paint cleaner should it be after you have removed swirls and already compounder so all thats left is doing the sealant and wax,
And is that the way you bring back luster to paint when after using swirl removers is the cleanse paint chemicaly then put on glazes selant to wax. After removing swirls paint isnt in the best shape right.

I usually use the paint cleaner first. My process is pretty well spelled out on OCDetails.com as far as all that goes. Sometimes I use the paint cleaner after the swirl remover just to remove any oils or fillers from the compound. It all depends on which products you are using really.

could a paint cleaner be confused with a glaze because of the fillers that a glaze contains, or meguires #80 speed glaze, removes oxidation but just fills scratches
