I performed some chip repairs. I followed the procedure outlined in the learning section. I use SMR, fine rubbing compound, waxed, etc.
I did not use a clear coat. I now notice that you can see the spots where I touched-up the paint. The paint color seems to match but the gloss is different. It is hard to explain but the touch-up paint does not reflect the same way as the regular factory paint. You can clearly see the spots but only because they reflect light differently.
Would using a clear-coat pen make a difference? Is there something else I should be doing?
