If you aren`t cleaning your pads with a pad washer your wasting time and energy. I made my own DIY pad washer similar to the one you can purchase pictured below. Got the directions to build it from this site. I use LA Totally Awesome to spray on the pad and let it dwell for a minute. Then run it in the pad washer for 10 or 15 seconds and the pads come out like new. The other day I had to clean some pads in the sink, because my pad washer bucket was leaking from the bottom. I forgot how big of a P.I.T.A. that is. If you use pads to compound, polish, or wax, buy or build a pad washer. You will be glad you did!
