Pad Washer

If you aren`t cleaning your pads with a pad washer your wasting time and energy. I made my own DIY pad washer similar to the one you can purchase pictured below. Got the directions to build it from this site. I use LA Totally Awesome to spray on the pad and let it dwell for a minute. Then run it in the pad washer for 10 or 15 seconds and the pads come out like new. The other day I had to clean some pads in the sink, because my pad washer bucket was leaking from the bottom. I forgot how big of a P.I.T.A. that is. If you use pads to compound, polish, or wax, buy or build a pad washer. You will be glad you did!

I believe the holes are 3/32 for the hole in the top cap . Here is another link that is a little different build. I didn`t use the cross bracing, and don`t think it`s needed. Instead I used pvc glue and glued all the pipes. I kept it simple and it works great. This link below also shows the cover and how it`s made.

I bought (4) 3/4" Plugs and drilled them through to
1/2" inch. Springs register in there sweet! If I remember right I had to sand the outside a little of the 3/4" plugs to get them to fit into the other pipe.
