Anyone know when its a good time to clean your foam pads? I am going to store mine in zip lock bags but just keep them unzipped in my cabinet but was wondering when its a good time to give them a wash?

Also whats a good wash procedure. I just wanna make sure my pads last a good time.

You should have a bucket of soapy water to soak them in as soon as your done using them. Then after detailing you should wash them and let them dry 100% before placing in a bag.

You don't want polish to dry in the pad as it can be difficult to remove and cause you headaches next time you use them.

I soak mine in snappy pad cleaning powder mixed in hot water. Then I wash by hand with dish washing detergent. I rinse well and leave standing on the edge to drip dry. If I need them right away I spin dry on the rotary.

i think its a good idea to wash your pad when it's caked. just don't wash it with hot water. i would use a warm water instead and hang dry them.

its just like taking care of your towels.

1. spray dawn power dissolver onto pad evenly, and let it sit for about 15 minutes

2. take pad and under running water, massage all the product out

3. squeeze and swing out as much water as possible, and lay onto grit guard to dry

4. store pads in little snap-lid totes
