Pad that comes with the 7424....

what purpose does it serve? I am anxious to get my pads and other things i just ordered. I tried out the 7424 on my project car that I am painting with rust-oleum marine high gloss white(my own variation of the $50 paint job!) I used the PC with some turtle wax cleaner wax i had laying around. I know this probably isnt the smartest thing to do but it actually shined up the fender nicely!
 
thanks! I really don't care that much since its my autocross car. I just might end up using it on the whole car once i am done painting/wetsanding! I will be sure to use a better polish; i have some poorboys on the way :)

Oh, will it work with a decent polish to get some wetsanding scratches out (1500 and 2000 grit )? I am not looking for the car to be perfect, since it's going to get beat up autocrossing anyways.
 
It will not get out 2000 grit, definitely not 1500 grit. I would say maybe, just maybe you can get out 2500-3000 grit with the right pads and compounds..
