Pad question

Hey guys, I am getting ready to do a bunch of detailing in the coming weeks and I need to get a few new pads. Right now I have the PC with a 5 inch backing plate, what I am wondering is can I use this plate with the 7.5 inch pads from PAC? or do I need to get the 6 inch backing plate?

Im also picking up some SSR1, SSR2, and SSR2.5 so good times are on the horizon.

Im pretty sure you will need the 6" for equal distribution of weight. For pads i would order a light cut a few polishing pads and a finishing pad, you can never have to many polishing pads.

Yeah, you can get the Meg's pads, Sonus DAS pads, Edge pads and probably a few more that will work with a 5' BP.

Since Sonus pads and Top of the Line were both mentioned in the thread, I guess it might be OK to mention Xcel Detail.
The owner is a member here, but not a sponsor. I have heard good things about his pads and his Micro Fiber towels, but I haven't ordered anything from him.
