Pad Comparison

Hi Folks ,

I am going to make an order shortly and help me with a pad choice if ya will.
I use RO polishers ,Maguars and PC...I have pretty much always used L/C CCS pads , thats what I cut my teeth on.When I need to cut a little more I have used a 3 3/4 backing plate and 4 inch CCS.
I am considering getting a 3 inch backing plate and 3 inch Hydro-Tech pads for a little more muscle when I need it...would you folks draw a comparison for me on CCSvs Hydro-tech...in the same flavor...for comparison , lets use Orange. Please feel free to comment on polishes to if you like ...diminishing or non...if needed I will look in my cabinet and list my products...thanks much , really appreciate your recommendations :)
RJ.

To the best if my knowledge, they don't make 3" CCS pads - just HT. If you get the 3" HTs, make sure you get the low profile, they work much better with a DA, I use them all the time.

Yeah , my bad...thought of that after I submitted the thread..however I did want to just draw a comparison between the 3 inch HT and a 4CCS..I would think that the smaller backing plate and 3 inch pad could certainly cut a little more ??

Both 3" and 4" pads spin fine if they are low profile. I would go more by the area you are working on for the pad size.

As an aside, the best 4" pads IMHO are the CG's self-centering pads made by BnS. I love those pads, they are very low profile, as the backing plate countersinks into the pad. I'm not sure why the don't make more pads this style I. various sizes because they really work well on a DA.

would you mind referencing the pads you are describing ?...thanks very much for your trouble..

How much more cut do you need? Lake Country makes the thin wool pads in a 3 1/4 inch size that absolutely rips. :bigups
