Guys, I am going to slowly get into the Edge system for the Rotary. However I have a boat load of LC 6.5 inch pads that I bought for the PC that I am going to use on a Rotary (soon as I get it). None of these pads have a hole in the middle, velcro gos right up to the edge of the pads so I am fairly sure that the backing is "PUR" glued, so lucky for me (bought at AG).
I can see this problem coming and thought it best to contact and ask before I do something dumb as usual.
Question: I'll be using a LC 4 3/4 inch flexible backing plate from AG (haven't ordered yet). This gives a 1 3/4 inch overlap of the pad which the pros think is fine.
Problem: How in the hell do you center the pad as best you can under these circumstances?
That is a fair amount of distance variation, is there some trick, or is the trick that I just have to play with it, which doesn't seem very effective or efficient.
