Pad care

Just about to begin using my new PC this weekend and wanted to know what you all do for pad care after each use? What is the proper cleaning method?

Some use Dawn, some use APC, some use Snappy clean or some other product.

The key for me is to clean the pads while the product is still wet, don't like it dry and cake up the pads. I soak the pads in the cleaning solution until I'm done with all of them, then I work the residue out of the pads with my fingers. Repeat hand working in a bath of clean water to rinse until the water runs clear. Then dry on a rack.

heck, i toss them in the washer when I wash my MF...works like a charm!!! these are LC pads, the megs ones get hand washed as they are too delicate and the velcro comes apart....

I've read a lot of people toss them in the washer .... but I'm a "better safe than sorry" kind of guy. With this method I've had some pads for years. To each his own :D

There are a lot of threads on this topic. Try searching and reading the threads.

I use Dawn Power Dissolver. Just stray it on. Let it sit for a few minutes (or for however long DPD says) and then rinse it off with hot water (not too hot to damage the glue holding the velcro on.

machine wash for mine. I don't have any drama's

I'm actually thinking of adding driven quick spray to the wash as a post wash rinse to condition them. Should make the polish spread better
