P21S topper question

Quick question. My new routine:

Clay

Menzerna IP & FP

AIO

P21s

I'm looking forward to seeing how the car turns out but after doing this, will I have to start over each time I get some swirls or scratches at the Menzerna point, or with AIO? Can't imagine I can just keep reapplying P21s to cover any new scratches and stuff.

Also, what's a good QD to sue with this routine?

Thanks!

If you get new marring you'll have to go back to the abrasives, the Menzerna. Lots of QDs that'll work over wax- Griot's Speed Shine, EF Clear Pearl, Quik Shine, Crystal Mist, others...

P21S won't cover up the scratches/swirls. You will have to go back the IP/FP. Personally, I would either add the SG to the routine for greater durability or drop the AIO. While AIO is a great cleaner, it really isn't going to do much after FP which does a great job of leaving the surface ready for waxing. As for QD- my favorite is Megs. Final Detail available at your local Auto Paint store. It's in their Detailer Line and is $15/gallon so its a great value too.

I've been very pleased with Crystal Mist on top of P21S ... also, it seems to have much greater impact if I spray the car directly & carefully spread, flip the MF, then buff instead of spraying the MF to apply. To a lesser extent, I've been pleased with the Sonus Spritz.

As said, you'll have to go back to the polishing, but if you have good washing and QDing materials and techniques you can probably cut down on the amount of swirls you introduce greatly.

Check my signature - your just missing the SG! Its a winning combo in my book!

If you are carful with your washing and reapply the S100 ( PS21 ) on a monthly basis ( YMMV ), you shouldn't need to polish very often ( 4 times a year max ).

I was going to detail Sunday but since I don't have any SG I should wait right? Bummer. IO wonder if I can find it local somehwere in socal? Thanks for all the tips.

Come to think about it, I think the reason I did'nt purchase SG was I was told wax would smear and leave a cloudy apearance on top of SG? So I guess this is not the case?

consult David's "Perfect Shine" article and you'll see that clay, polish (GEPC or your favorite), AIO, and P21S will work just fine ... it has for me. if you're still undecided, try it without SG this time through, then try it with SG the next time ... you'll be able to make the determination yourself at that point.
