SilverLexus

Super Enthusiast
I have recommended this product before but now I can take digital pics of the product in action.

Here is the Before (Left side, greyish and brown look) & After (Right side, normal stainless steel) look with P21S Polishing Soap on my stainless steel workbench:

It works just as well on my exhaust tips. Very highly recommended. :)

Is that product safe for clearcoated alloy wheels?

I dont have mine near me right now, but I am pretty sure it's not. I have the S100 branded stuff, but I use it on my bare alumium wheels. It's really nice stuff, but I wouldnt use it on anything that has clearcoat on it.

No! Don't use it on clear coated wheels. It's only for bare metal. It has a very fine abrasive powder in it.

I use all over the house to clean brass and stainless steel.

For heavier jobs I use #0000 steel wool with it for more bite, especially around the brass trim on the fire place.

Once you think it is gleaming, follow up with a metal polish cream like Eagle One or Wenol and then the luster really comes through. The towel is black with residue from the traditional polish after the P21s

The polishing soap is very unique and time saving. But it can't compete with the finish that a traditional cream polish provides. I tried brass candle sticks with Wenol Red and the other with the P21s. The Wenol Red blew it out of the water as far as cleaning ability and luster. But, it took 30 minutes where as the P21s took 5 minutes. I then followed up the candle stick cleaned with P21s with Wenol and it took like 5 - 10 minutes and the look was awesome.

The best way to use it is to clean the surface first with the polishing soap. It is fast, easy and effective. Then follow up with a traditional polish. It makes the traditional polishishing step MUCH easier and quicker.

But, if the metal is in good shape then you just need the polishing soap.
