OXO Duster

I recently bought an OXO duster, but the first time I used it, it streaked the car. Nothing major that a quick Sonus Spritz didn't fix. Should I have done something prior to using the duster for the 1st time?

If the OXO one is like the California Duster, I think you have to let it sit for ~24 hrs before use.

set it on a sheet of newspaper for 24 hours to absorb the excess wax......and make sure you don't use it on a hot surface or the wax will streak.

If you set it on newspaper, won't it turn black from the ink?

I let mine sit on news paper for 5 days each day switching the paper and now it works like a champ. I have had three of them in my lifetime and love them. No it wont turn color from the ink.
