Oxidation on Red 1996 Acura Integra

Hi guys I am new to this forum. I was looking for some advice on removing oxidation from my 1996 Acura Integra. The roof, hood, hatch and rear bumper are turning pink. What would be a good product to use? Right now I have the following but I am open to purchasing a new product if it works well.



1) Mother Step 1 Pre-wax Cleaner

2) 3M Rubbing Compound

3) Meguiars Body Scrub

4) I just picked up the Turtle Wax Ice Clay kit at Target for half price. ($8). I'm not a fan of turtle wax products but my Griots clay needs replacing and this kit got pretty good review.



Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I think a chemical cleaner is what you need. If you can find a bottle of Meguire's ColorX that should help. Since you have some old clay left you could also try a panel and see what comes off by claying.
 
I would recommend either the Wolfgang paintwork polish enhancer or the Pinnacle Paintwork cleansing lotion (assuming you are doing this by hand.)
 
You have a good product in there! Bodyscub has not been about for a good few years but i remeber it being very effective on single stage paintwork 10+ years ago!



Failing that Mothers Step 1 will clear things up.



Personally an older product like Megs 80 and/as well as 83 on a machine polisher will really restore the finish. I think on SS paintwork this works better then the newer stuff!



The photo of the hood shows massive swirling and would need a serious correction with an abrasive polish.
 
I have heard good things about Color X. Would you recommend that over some of Meguiar's professional line products such as M105 or M205?



I clayed the car after I bought it last August. It did not help much with the Oxidation but did remove a lot of other particles from the paint. I plan on doing it again this weekend b/c it is going to be so nice out.



The Integra has a 3 stage paint job not a 1 stage. Do you still think the Body Scrub would work?
