Oxidation Hell Any Tricks up your sleeves?

Old thread I see, but I remember back in the early '90's seeing the guys at the Stratos boat plant in Nashville take on an older bass boat that looked like Mr Death reincarnated.

They used a slow speed buffer with a foam pad and Meguires 3 step kit. I watched in amazement as the most heavily oxidized boat I have ever seen was brought back to near original condition. Using the foam pad they could easily buff under the cleats without removal. Best stuff I have ever seen for marine work period.
