We are having a car wash this weekend for a local charity and the newspaper did a little story/picture on it. :xyxthumbs We are also going to be on TV at the end of the week. :grinno: Now I just hope we can make a good amount of money for the charity. We want this to be an annual thing.

Thanks. I amazed at how some of the local companies have stepped up and offered prizes for us to give away. If anyone wants to see the ad its posted here. http://www.platinumtouch.ca/annualcarwash.htm We just recived a call this morning and the paper for this business park wants to do a story on it. I think if we get enough press on this (we also might be on tv to give them the check during the telethon) that we can get more companys to help out next year.

I think that doing this kind of thing is also good for team building within the company, and getting plugged in to your local community.

I don't think we will get any work directly from this kind of thing, but a few more people know who we are now.
 
I recently did a hurricane katrina car wash, i wasn't even thinking about potential business, luckily, i had my trailer there w/ all my equipment (great advertisement). I handed out every single business card i had. Would have brought more. Live and learn. I would like to do more, you get to know a lot of people and explain what you do. You can show people up front what you can do to their cars to improve the overall look. Great marketing, I highly recomend it.
