Ouch my knees!!

I just pull the bottoms of my shorts over my knees so the concrete doesn't hurt too much.



I'm young and don't have to worry about my back and knees hurting

However, I do use a mechanics seat for when I do wheels. It's on little caster type wheels and rolls around pretty well. It's conveniant because I can put the brsuh/mit, bottles on the little shelf under the seat.

Costco has some good creeper seats that are air adjustable, I really like it.

I use a garden kneeling pad. I find it eaiser to do the bottom of the car than with a seat.

I've never looked back after buying a creeper seat, IMHO it is one of the best buys you can make if you value your knees and back!



If you are a larger sized guy, or just want a full sized seat for the comfort it offers, another option is to look out for broken office chairs (ask family and friends who work in an office).

I was just considering buying a NEW office chair to fit my 500-lb frame, but getting a broken one from work will be a lot cheaper! I like the creeper seat too but it is too small for me.

I use a pretty good pair of knee pads from Home Depot. I'm a pretty big guy (6'0", 300) so I'm not sure if a creeper would be low enough. Besides, I have a bad back and it looks like on a creeper you are bending forward to get low, and that looks uncomfortable to me in my mind.

I hear you on the creeper seats being kinda small, I only use my creeper seat now when I'm repairing paint damage so I can store the brush, touch up paints and levelers etc. on the little tray under the seat. The rest of my time, if I'm polishing or cleaning wheels etc. I use my office chair with the armrests and backrest removed; WAY more comfortable!
